Our quest of rural development can only be realized when peace & functional local self governance can be established in villages. Our past experience & field studies has time and again shown that majority of the families in rural society struggle to meet livelihood demands of the family and are forced to live a life full of risk and uncertainty. On the other hand a small section of the rural society has enjoying all the privileges of dignified life by controlling and monopolizing the power structure of the society. This imbalance in the rural society has created an environment of fear, exploitation and subjugation resulting in ever growing marginalization and deprivation of the powerless majority. Social norms and human values have been hijacked by vested interest of the few. Most of the welfare schemes of the Government have been distorted and made direction less; hence they failed to bring any tangible change in the lives of the marginalized majority. We at Sarvhitkari Sewasharm felt that time has come to address the situation by initiating poor centric advocacy to influence and change the policy and mobolishing the marginalized community in a way so that their voice can be heard and their due rights may be realized.
